Ms. Geetanjali Purkayastha is a sustainability professional with over eight years of experience across the environmental sustainability and development landscape. She currently serves as Manager – Advocacy and Member Engagement at the Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN), where her role focuses on stakeholder engagement, policy dialogue, research, and facilitating collaborations for inclusive DRE projects. Previously, Geetanjali worked with SusPoT – Center for Sustainability, supporting CSR strategy, program design, and sustainability reporting. At Morningstar Sustainalytics, she specialized in ESG risk analysis and benchmarking. Her development sector experience includes leading sanitation and community development projects with HCL Foundation and implementing the WASH and PMAY(U) programs across aspirational districts of Uttar Pradesh and Assam.

Ms.Geetanjali envisions an India that grows not only as an economic powerhouse but also as a nation deeply in harmony with nature and its ecological roots. Recognizing the urgent need for sustainable and inclusive growth, she made a conscious shift to the Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) sector. For her, DRE represents the convergence of modern innovation and indigenous resilience—a pathway that empowers communities, respects the environment, and builds a stronger, more self-reliant India.
