Mr. Sharath Rao distils twenty four years of clean-energy expertise—from rigorous research to policy design to field deployment. As a Fellow at the Centre for Social and Economic Progress, a premier Indian think tank, he crafts rooftop-solar, green-tariff, carbon-finance, and distribution-reform solutions for the ministries of power, new & renewable energy, and environment. Previously, he founded and helmed Bruhat Energy, manufacturing electronics and installing rooftop, off-grid, and solar-pumping systems, and served as Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP), a renowned Bangalore-based think tank. Sharath holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (Mysore University) and a Ph.D. in Environmental & Energy Policy (University of Delaware).
