Mr. Nitin Akhade the Executive Director of Energy Access and Livelihoods at CES and currently the President at CLEAN, focuses on market linkages and technology mapping for rural and unserved communities. With over twelve plus years of experience in energy access, business models, and renewable energy applications, his research includes standards for BoP segments and clean cooking solutions.  

He holds dual master’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering from UPC Barcelona and Grenoble INP, an Executive Energy Management degree from Grenoble Ecole de Management, and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from DBATU, India. He previously worked with CLEAN on decentralized renewable energy and with Lloyd’s Register Consulting on nuclear safety assessments.
